Michael Neidlin

Michael is a postdoctoral researcher at the Systems Biology and Bioengineering Group of Prof. Alexopoulos. From 2007-2013 he studied Mechanical Engineering (M.Sc) at the RWTH Aachen University in Germany. 2016 he graduated with a PhD on "Numerical modeling of vascular hemodynamics" from the Cardiovascular Department at the Institute of Applied Medical Engineering at the RWTH Aachen.

From 2017 Michael received funding from the German Research Foundation to investigate cartilage degradation applying methods from systems biology and biomechanics.

More specifically, he uses in vitro models, proteomic analyses and computational modeling to leverage drug discovery in OA.
